Privacy notice: launch list
This notice explains what happens to your details when you join the RafflePlace launch list. It covers the launch list only. When RafflePlace opens, a full privacy notice will cover the rest of the service.
Who we are
Jay Garside, trading as RafflePlace, Suite 8, Second Floor, Cragside House, 52 Heaton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 1SE, is the controller of your personal data. You can contact us about it at privacy@raffleplace.co.uk.
What we collect
- your email address
- whether you’re interested in entering draws, listing prizes or both
- when you joined and confirmed, and which version of this notice you saw
We ask you to confirm you’re 18 or over. We don’t ask for or store your date of birth.
Why we use it
To email you when RafflePlace launches and to send you news about RafflePlace, including new prizes. We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the list and clicking the link in our confirmation email. We won’t send you texts or app notifications, and we don’t sell your details or share them for other companies’ marketing.
We don’t track whether you open our emails or click the links in them, and this website doesn’t use cookies for analytics or advertising.
Who handles it for us
- Brevo, our email provider, based in France, stores the list and sends our emails.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and passes your form to Brevo. Requests are handled in London; Vercel is a US company.
Both act only on our instructions. Where your data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you don’t click the confirmation link, you aren’t added to the list. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list only so that we don’t email you again.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails, or by emailing privacy@raffleplace.co.uk. You also have the right to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email us at the same address.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
